Learning together... What a great start to a new system! You have welcomed this evaluation system with an open mind and a purpose! Our GSCs (Goal Setting Conferences) have started and the feedback has been very positive. The meetings have been purposeful and very reflective. There are still some questions that have yet to be answered, but as we get information we will do our best to keep you informed. This is something new for all of us in the district and all of us are learning the way. We will make some mistakes along the way, but we will learn from them.
Your willingness to learn and the way you have embraced this change makes me proud to be a Cub.
THANK YOU!!

Meet Mrs. Franklin
Mrs. Franklin has had the honor of teaching at AMS for the past 7 years. She leads a phenomenal Sweepstakes-winning orchestra program, which has grown significantly since she arrived. Also, as one of the original AVID site team members at AMS, she is the 8th grade AVID Elective Teacher. Mrs. Franklin started her educational journey in Alief at Heflin Elementary, where her love for music began with Mrs. Carol Williams (who STILL teaches music at Heflin!) She received a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from Baylor University, and then ventured across the pond to attend Royal Holloway University of London, obtaining a Master of Music in Ethnomusicology. When she is not staying after school rehearsing, teaching, or tutoring, she loves to travel, and attend performing arts events.
If you really knew Mrs. Franklin you would know that she has a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, paralegal certification, and has performed in orchestras in 6 countries. She is looking forward to a phenomenal year with a new set of cubs!Meet Mr. Trimble
