Food Pantry Sunday (or Friday!)

Due to COVID restrictions, Aquin was not able to hold their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. But the Senior High Student Board still wanted to do something to help those in need in our community. Please support the Aquin Senior High Student Board 'Food Pantry Sunday' which will fill the shelves of the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Aquin students will be waiting in the St. Thomas Aquinas parking lot next Sunday, November 22 from 10am-noon to collect your donations of boxes of mashed potatoes, packets jars or cans of gravy, French fried onions, cake mixes, frosting, and yams or any other non-perishable food item. To keep you safe, students will retrieve your food donations from the trunk of your car.

If you can't make it to St. Thomas on Sunday, students will also be at Aquin on Friday, November 20 from 12:30-3:30pm to collect donations there. Please pull into the Aquin Gym Entrance on Empire Street.

Big picture

Confession Before Saturday Mass

  • We have also adjusted the Confession time on Saturday so that you can go to Confession after the morning Mass, or come in the afternoon and then head into the church for Mass.
  • To accommodate 6-foot social distancing, we have temporarily re-located the confessional room to the Cana Room.

Want to help before and/or after Mass?

To facilitate this change, we are in need of more volunteers.

  • We need greeters to direct parishioners
  • We need persons to escort parishioners to seating
  • We need people to assist at check-in and record temperatures
  • We need assistance at communion and after Mass
  • We need help to sanitize after Mass

Training is necessary for all of these parts. If you are able to assist please contact the Parish Office at 815-232-3225 or email media@stthomasfreeport.org.
