Rosa Parks Elementary Rocket News
August 26, 2019
Hello Rocket Families!
We are off to a great start to the school year! As Mrs. Agina and I have walked the building and observed in classrooms, we have seen all of our staff working closely with every student as we get to know how to best serve each student in order to develop a strong foundation of academics and positive social skills. We know educating our children in both academics and social/emotional skills takes a team effort. As parents and guardians of your children, we want to build a positive partnership and collaborate together to meet the needs of every student we serve.
We would like to update everyone on the communication of our "Rocket News." For the 2019-2020 school year, we will send out a bi-weekly newsletter which will share information for the upcoming two weeks. If you have specific questions, not addressed in the newsletter, please do not hesitate to contact our front office for further clarification.

Morning Arrival
Afternoon Dismissal
* Walkers, Bikers, and Bus Riders will be dismissed first from the building
~ If your child is a walker, you must meet them at corner near the crosswalk. Parents, please do not walk up to the campus to pick up your child unless we are in "rainy day dismissal".
~ No car is allowed to park in the bus circle, daycare vehicles will be registered through the front office and will receive a daycare card to place in the window of the car.
* Car Riders, Daycare, and Extended Day will be dismissed last from the building
~ Pre-K car riders have a "pink" tag placed in their window and dismiss from the back of the building
~ Have your tag number displayed in the front of the car window to be easily seen by staff. Please work with your child to learn their car number. This will make the line more faster and more efficiently.
* Please keep your speed to no more than 10 mph while driving through the parking lot.
* Please know these procedures are in place to maintain safety and efficiency of getting our students home safe everyday. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we are a community and know everyone cares not only for their child, but for every child here at Rosa Parks Elementary.
