Message from the Principal
Dear Knights,
At the Curriculum 'K'Night, a parent shared 'once a Knight, always a Knight' as the answer to my question, "what is something special about ACP". That is 100% correct. That phrase, "once a knight, always a knight" has in it the pride we have in being ACP Knights. We set the standard for everyone else. Our standards are simple. We come prepared to learn, treat everyone with kindness and put forth our personal best effort towards reaching our individual successes. I see examples of this daily when you help pick up trash after someone, ask questions in class when you don't understand or attend tutoring because you didn't perform as you wanted to on an assignment or assessment. My absolute favorite is when I hear you greet each other and the staff daily whether it is when you come onto campus or when leave the campus. Even though it is hot and you are anxious about getting on your buses to go home, I appreciate the time you take to wish me good day back. So, thank you for being you and bringing your best effort everyday. Whether some one is watching you or not, continue being the Knight you are!!
Our cash for classrooms is coming to a close. If you didn't get a chance to contribute, make sure to bring your money in on Monday. You get a free dress Friday on August 12 if you contribute. See attached for more information. Here is a video with information as well.
Parents - Thank you so much for following the traffic flow. I hope you have noticed the increased efficiency at both drop off and pick up. I am including a few reminders below:
- If you turn right onto our campus, you will continue the right pathway and if you turn left onto our campus, you will continue the left pathway. There are three traffic flows - #1, #2, #3, use whichever is the most convenient for you during both drop off and pick up.
- During drop off, please drop off your student at the nearest gate - do not wait until you reach the front.
- Do not park in the neighborhoods and then walk across major streets to pick up students.
- Students MUST be picked up by 3:00pm daily unless they are scheduled for after school activities.
BSN sports is offering a 20% discount for ACP apparel. Check out their website if interested.
Picture day is here. For more information, see the attached flyer.

PLEASE MAKE A TAX CREDIT DONATION TO ACP MIDDLE SCHOOL
Arizona tax law allows individual taxpayers to claim a nonrefundable tax credit for making contributions or paying fees directly to a public school in AZ for support of eligible activities and programs.
At the junior high level, the school office is unable to reallocate / redirect funds without parent and district approval. Be sure to select the specific fee for the activity where you want your payment applied. Sports fees are assigned quarterly and club fees are assigned once established.
When paying fees online (band/ orchestra, club or athletics fees, etc.), please consider making an additional contribution to our general fund in December to reach the maximum credit allowable.
http://az01001175.schoolwires.net/page/1131
Once you have paid all outstanding fees for ACP Middle School or if you have a family member that resides in AZ, please consider making an additional tax credit contribution to ACP's general fund before December 31st. If you are able to make your tax contributions prior to the end of the calendar year, your donation would be greatly appreciated. It will help give us a jump start on some of our essential extracurricular activities. We have set a goal to collect approximately $50,000.00 this school year and hope that you will be willing to help us meet our goal. Thank you for supporting your child and ACP Middle School!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.
http://www.cusd80.com/taxcredit
Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
