Addition to Perkins County Livestock Fair Book
Exhibitors and families, since the animals will be at the fair longer, it is important to remember that they are the responsibility of the exhibitor/family from the moment they step onto the fairgrounds until they leave. Even though the sale is on Friday, the animals will be cared for (fed, pens/areas cleaned, water clean and full, etc.) by the exhibitor until they leave the fairgrounds. Please note the following addition to the Perkins County Livestock Fair book:
Ø Care For Animals - Animals must be securely tied in stalls or in pens unless exhibitor is with animal. All animals must be properly feed and watered throughout the fair. Stalls and pens need to be cleaned daily and the stalls/pens must be cleaned by the exhibitor at the end of the fair. Any animal not receiving proper care (food, water, etc.) will be cared for by the 4-H Council. A verbal warning will be given to the exhibitor and the 4-H council/Extension Educator will be consulted. Exhibitors not caring for animals will be charged $50 per day. Payment will be made to the Perkins County 4-H Council and collected at the Extension Office. All care payments must be received before an exhibitor may receive their Livestock Sale Check.
