Images of beauty and how they are portrayed in advertisements affects women consumer confidence. “ The study found that “ images of women wearing makeup were judged to be healthier and more confident than the images of the same women without makeup. when wearing cosmetics women were also assigned greater earning potential and considered to have more prestigious jobs when they were presented without makeup” (Nash et al., 2006, p. 501).” Women being more confident when wearing certain cosmetics and makeup is true because most strangers will think more positive s things about a person when they wear makeup, but most strangers will think more negative things about a person who isn’t wearing makeup.

Of course there are a lot of solutions to this problem of how we as a people are portrayed by the media. The solution we found to be the most sensible was also the one that made people feel the best about themselves. Our solution is to start advertising that every one is perfect the way they are. Then people will stop saying i wish i was as perfect as them when everyone should know that it's a warped perfect. The media should only hope to establish as much self love as we plan to have.
