Leading Adult Learners
Goal: Grow your capacity and increase your sense of agency as you lead learning for other educators.
This experience is designed for educators who are ready to take their learning to the next level as they share their practices with others. We will work through the context, content, and process of planning for professional learning as we focus on best practices in design and facilitation of meaningful adult learning experiences. Participants will engage in two days of learning, and will be asked to facilitate a session at one of our Trade Learning Saturdays.
Peer Coaching for Classroom Management
Goal: Grow your capacity and increase your sense of agency as you support other educators striving to grow in their Classroom Management (Domain 3) practices.
Crucial Conversations
Goal: Grow your capacity and increase your sense of agency as you maximize your ability to successfully navigate crucial conversations, create safe environments for collaboration, and build a culture of trust and respect.
Crucial Conversations teaches skills for fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics. By learning how to speak and be heard (and encouraging others to do the same), you’ll surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment. This cohort will take a deeper dive into the book studied by all PISD Team Leaders and extend your skills as you work collaboratively with your campus administrator and your team.
*You must have attended PISD Team Leader Academy to be considered for this cohort.
Google Educator
Goal: Grow your capacity and increase your sense of agency as you maximize your ability to successfully integrate technology into your classroom instruction.
Participants will have the opportunity engage in professional learning as they move sequentially through the Google for Education certification program with the support of Instructional Technology, Professional Learning, and each other. Plano ISD will help prepare each cohort with training and coaching. Participants will support their campus with training and support as we work to integrate technology into the classroom with Google Drive, Chromebooks, and Google Classroom.
Applications must be submitted by August 27th, 2018.
