Welcome to the final marking period of the year, and what a year it’s been! We were so happy to welcome back even more of our Huskies this marking period to in-person learning. The fourth marking period of the year always flies by.

Over the course of the next nine weeks, our Huskies will take the M-Step and NWEA assessments. This coming Tuesday, our eighth graders will take the PSAT 8/9. Please make sure your student has a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast prior to testing. Grade level schedules for M-Step and NWEA will be sent out in the coming weeks.

Healthy Huskies

Big picture
We want the fourth term to be as safe and healthy as possible. To achieve this it is imperative that you are symptom-checking your Husky each morning. Should your student/s display any symptoms of sickness, please keep them home. Power of the Pack!
If you or your Husky receives a positive COVID result, please contact the school as soon as possible. On a weekend or in the evening, you can email any of the administrators. There are measures that we have to take immediately, including contacting the health department if a student tests positive. Thank you.

The PBIS Committee and administration are happy to announce the reinstatement of our Student of the Month Program. To align with our March Is Reading Month theme, "Reading is My Favorite Sport", the P.E. department chose the student in each homeroom that displayed remarkable sportsmanship over the month of March. These students are also our first Huskies to receive tokens for our new Book Vending Machine! We are so proud of you! It's good to be a Husky!

Chromebooks

Holly Academy was busy over spring break, as we set up over 250 Chromebooks, creating the capacity for our middle school to have one to one with school devices. Beginning on Monday, April 12th, middle school students should only use devices assigned to them by the school. All personal computers must remain at home. Any students that have not been given a device will be given one by the tech department Monday. Chromebooks must stay on campus unless a guardian has signed a checkout form, available at hollyacademy.org/dcform, the form can be returned to the office or a homeroom teacher. A big thank you to Mr. Appleton, Mr. McKee, Mrs. Bunka, Mrs. Bain, and Mrs. Nabozny for helping unbox and set up the Chromebooks.

Thank you also, to our families that have supplied their own devices so far this school year. It would have been impossible to provide teaching and learning without you! We appreciate you!
