SELF-ESTEEM & MENTAL HEALTH
The definition of self-esteem is a measure of how you value, respect, and feel about yourself which effects everything that you do. If you have a healthy self-esteem the thoughts that one has about themselves will usually be positive about themselves. You may come across some obstacles in life, but they wont have a negative impact on you.
When you have low self-esteem you don't typically see yourself positively. Low self-esteem is typically reflected in negative thoughts and statements about oneself. Someone with low self-esteem handles certain situations differently than other, they tend to dwell on the negative and bad things that happen to them.
