Tomorrow is ORANGE DAY!
Friday, March 10th 2017 NHCS's Supports Leukemia Awareness!
A message from our Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Beltz...
My husband, also known as, Mr. Doug, was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) on November 18, 2016. Mr. Doug spent 47 days in the hospital while he underwent a very strong chemotherapy treatment. Mr. Doug has had 2 bone marrow biopsies that have come back clean (no leukemia). His name was placed on the national registry list for a bone marrow donor and GOD IS GOOD! Mr. Doug will be starting chemotherapy on March 8, to prepare his system for the transplant that will take place on March 16, 2017.
The color for leukemia is ORANGE and our Beltz Family believes "leukemia...you messed with the wrong soldier". Mr. Doug's favorite Bible verse is: Isaiah 54:17; No weapon formed against us will prosper.
The Beltz Family is compiling a list of friends and family that are willing to donate blood and/or platelets in Mr. Doug's name. Please send your contact information (email, phone number and blood type if you know it) to Mrs. Beltz' email at nancykbeltz@gmail.com.
We will also be having Orange Day on March 16th, 2017 while Mr. Doug is undergoing his bone marrow transplant. We will have a school wide moment of prayer at 8:30am in the court yard. Please feel free to join us.
