Aiming to Keep You Informed
February 15, 2019
From the Office
This week, our staff was treated to breakfast by our Student Council. It was very enjoyable to spend time together outside of the classroom. We truly appreciated nice treats!
Last weekend, three of our 7th graders presented at the Students Involved with Technology (SIT) conference in Bensenville (pictured)! They put in a great deal of time preparing and practicing for their presentation on Choose Your Own Adventure stories using Google Slides! A big thank you to Mrs. Mirante and Mrs. Greene for supporting the students and attending the conference with them!
Boys Basketball finished a very successful season with 7th grade taking 1st place in Conference and 8th grade finishing 2nd! Congratulations to all of the boys and Mr. Buchholz, Vince Gattuso and Mr. Ryan on a wonderful season.
This Saturday, February 16th, our Cheerleaders will compete at Medinah Middle School vs area teams. Doors open at 10:30. Admission for adults is $5 and $3 for children. Go Warriors!

Innovation Night (formerly Portfolio Night)
During Innovation Night students will share their project with parents, family, and community members. Attendees will be invited in to walk around, listen to student presentations and ask them questions! The tentative date for Innovation Night at Westfield is May 16th! We are looking forward to watching students navigate these problems and ideas while learning critical life-long skills! Innovation Night will replace our traditional "Portfolio Night" from years past. Portfolios will still be curated and students can share them with parents at home.
