Virtual Assessment Centres - What and How?
The term 'virtual assessment' is used to cover everything from video interviews to online psychometric tests and group presentations. As companies continue to recruit and move online, virtual assessments have become more common than ever before.
It's understandable if you're feeling a little uneasy about what to expect from this digital process. In order to address some of the biggest concerns, TARGETjobs and GradIreland invited two recruitment experts to take part in a live, online drop-in session on virtual assessments.

Employability Skills Series - Week 3: Interview techniques in the Digital World
The graduate job market is highly competitive, meaning employers can and will look for more ways to set applicants apart. Developing your soft skills is a crucial part of making yourself more employable, which is why HSBC have designed these workshops to target the most in-demand skills fit for the current climate, useful for all students no matter their career intentions!
Long before the COVID-19 lockdown, Graduate Employers have been changing how they interview Graduates. With the meteoric rise of home working and virtual offerings, understanding how to navigate this landscape is essential for interview success.
This hour-long workshop will run through the differences in strength and competency based recruitment, how to prepare for virtual interviews and assessment centres, CV writing tips and advice all from an employer’s perspective.

The University of St Andrews Careers Service is delighted to be able to invite you to the Graduate Jobs Fair Online on Wednesday 22nd July, hosted by the University of Edinburgh, it is open to graduating students from all Scottish Universities!
This virtual fair is your opportunity to explore your next steps and meet over 40 employers from across Scotland and the UK, who are looking to recruit graduates for UK based roles starting in 2020.

- Digital Marketing - Google's Digital Garage: Google offer a free, accredited online courses for anyone looking to improve their digital marketing skills! Designed by Google trainers, the course contain real-world examples and give you the option to obtain a certificate on completion.
- Python Masterclass - Code First Girls: Join Code First Girls for a free coding taster class on 28 July. This 1 hour session is designed to introduce learners to Python, including an explanation about the fundamentals of Python Programming and a short mini-project.
- AI Summer Fellowship - R42 Institute: For anyone with an interest in artificial intelligence, the AI Summer Fellowship is an opportunity to develop your knowledge of AI and Machine Learning through real research projects.
- Fundamentals of Graphic Design - Google's Digital Garage: This virtual course gives budding graphic designers the chance to master fundamental skills such as typography, image making, working with colour and compositions.
