YOU ASKED & WE DELIVERED MEET COACH BECK
WHERE DID YOU GROW UP AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TEACHING?
Hello students. I'm honored to be asked to share a little bit about myself. First, let me say that you are a wonderful class of students. Together we are making history. A first and hopefully one time historic attempt to seize every opportunity of learning together away from a physical school. I'll never forget going on to our campus many years ago on a Saturday. Everything was quiet and still. I realized at that moment that without YOU there is no school. I turned right around, walked back to my truck., and left. I have come to work every day possible for 28 years looking forward to your smiling faces and uplifting personalities.
I went to Highschool here in Southeast San Diego. I am a Morse Tiger Alumni. I learned the most valuable lessons about life and friendship during that time. I learned that racism and suppression is real. Our class of students did everything we could to make each other feel like PART of a Family. To this day multicultural diversity plays a big part in my life and family.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITEE TV SHOW OF ALL TIME?
I enjoy a little TV. I like Dramas. I really enjoy movies about people reaching a goal of Freedom.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT AND WHAT DO YOU ORDER FROM THERE?
My favorite food is Mexican food. I always order Chilis Rellenos. Very low in carbs and delicious.
WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE YOUR STUDENTS?
I was the first child in my family to earn a college degree, and I have four sisters. One piece of advice would be this....Never Give Up on School. Just keep trying and moving forward. Perseverance will See you through.

Meet One of BVM's ASB Members Charlotte Elbel
Hello Crusaders,
My name is Charlotte Elbel and I'm part of the 2020-2021 ASB. Here are some things for you to help get to know me, I love animals (except for spiders) and also have a passion for being a veterinarian.
When I was little soccer was a large part of my like starting to play soccer at age 4 through 10 I played a little bit of soccer in sixth grade for my school team but got injured.
Being in ASB has helped me come out of my shell as a person and to be more outgoing, I have loved my time at BVM and hope that some seventh graders take interest in ASB just like I did last year.
