Football Zones
We want to congratulate our football Zones players for their outstanding teamwork and some memorable moments on the pitch this week.
All three teams showed great determination and battled hard for 3rd and 5th place, and we’re proud of the commitment demonstrated by all our players. Special thanks goes to our dedicated parent helpers and Karen Moore, our Sports Coordinator, for their invaluable support.
Pink Shirt Day
Tomorrow, we celebrate Pink Shirt Day to promote anti-bullying messages under the banner of "Lifting Others Up", and invite children to join in if they wish to take part. Children can wear their home clothes (as long as they wear at least one pink item, whether a t-shirt, socks, shirt or other garment/accessory) - otherwise, uniform as usual please.
Upcoming Events
We have a number of exciting events on the horizon, with our Cross Country events, Junior Showcase (Week 6), Matariki and the PTA's inaugural Dragon Boat Festival promising to be particular highlights. Information on our Term 2 Parent Conferences will also be made available towards the end of term.
Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement Update
As you may be aware, the Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement has not yet been settled. A new vote is scheduled to take place, possibly leading to further strike action (tentatively scheduled for May 31). The result of the vote will be announced early next week.
While the industrial action is not yet confirmed (and we hope it can be avoided), the Board will keep you informed in the event strike action is formally notified, with updates on how this may affect school operations.
In the meantime, please be mindful of the date in case of possible disruption.
