Tim's Place
I just LOVE this video. It reminds me why we do what we do and just how lucky our 5th and 6th graders are to be in a place like Lineville where we value every student.

Lineville Budget Update
Wow! We really got hit hard for next year's budget. Our total allocation is down by almost 50% since the 2008-09 school year. I am working on numbers with Cathy, but this may mean that classroom budgets will be less than the $200 we anticipated. It may also mean that fewer capital requests can be granted this year. I will keep you informed as we learn more.
Planning for Next Year
Tis the season when we begin to watch numbers and start to plan for next year. I will send out a survey next month regarding your satisfaction with your House and your House's designation (ie, CARE, SPED, Etc...). As things stand right now, there are three likely scenarios for next year. In order of likelihood they are:
- 5th Grade remains at 16 teachers, 6th Grade goes from 15 teachers to 16. This would mean Franklin becomes a 2-person team and a new House is formed.
- 5th Grade remains at 16 teachers, 6th Grade goes from 15 teachers to 17 teachers. This would mean that a new House is formed.
- 5th Grade goes from 16 teachers to 15 teachers, 6th grade goes from 15 teachers to 16 teachers. This would mean that a 5th grade House is broken up with one teacher going to 6th grade and another teacher joining an existing House and creating a 3-person team.
Of course, it is still very early and things change all the time. I will continue to provide updates as the picture comes into focus.
Phil's Schedule
I am out on Monday, February 10th for more Educator Effectiveness training. This time to be an evaluator of other administrators (Kristin). Kristin will be in the building.
Friday's Early Release
Friday is an early release for the students, but a normal work day for teachers. The afternoon is yours to work or collaborate as needed. There are no formal activities you need to attend.
THANK YOU!!!!
- To our Peer Leader Advisors for another great Spirit Week! We really appreciate what you do to make this a great place for kids.
- To Joyce and Becky for allowing a team from Gillett to observe in their classrooms. As I talked with the team, they were VERY impressed and excited to share what they saw with their district. You both represented our school extremely well and I couldn't be prouder.
