Landform Painting
By Sara and Reagan
This week in school we painted and presented our landforms. First we did all of the research then we made clay to morph into the landform that we researched. After that we did all of the painting. Then we presented them with our groups to the rest of the class. Here is the recipe that we used to make the clay.
1. One cup of water
2. One cup of salt
3. One cup of flour
And that is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a lot of fun making our landforms!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Math Fun
By Luca and Gavin
This week we did math and we made fraction selfies and area of our name! First we did fraction selfies and that is where we made ourselves out of squares and we made fractions about the colors that were on our fraction selfies. Next we did the area of our name and we wrote are name on grid paper. We counted the area of our name and we added all of the numbers of our letters to get one big number. That was the area of our name.
Check them out when you come to Open House.
Also, we did a measurement scavenger hunt. We went out on the back field and playground and measured different things. We had to measure to the nearest quarter inch. We used rulers for smaller things (like bugs and sticks) and tape measures for longer and round things (like tree trunks and tables). We had fun on our scavenger hunt!

This week in school we learned about the sun. Since we learned about the sun we made astronauts. To make one at home it takes 4 easy steps. Number 1- get a tracer of a astronauts and a piece of paper. Number 2- trace the tracer of the astronaut. Number 3- then color. Number 4- cut the astronaut out.
If you want to learn about the sun then here's the paragraph for you. The sun is very very hot so hot that the surface is about 10,000 degrees. The sun can store about 1,000 earths inside. It is a gas giant and it’s not a planet, it is a star. It has sun spots on it and no animal can live on it because it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot, nothing can survive. Every year the sun moves an inch closer to earth.
That's all hope you learned a little something.
