CRUSADER NEWS THAT YOU CAN USE....
October 12, 2018
This Week's Recap....
Our girls Varsity Volleyball team will be going to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP next week. There will be a BAKE SALE after school on Monday (and maybe Tuesday) to help raise funds for this unplanned trip. Please send your student with a small amount of $$ to support our team.
On Thursday there will be a pizza sale after school. Please return the order form by the deadline indicated if you wish to purchase a slice of pizza and capri sun for your child.
On Friday, October 19th, our K through 4th grade students will be visited by a published author! Information below. Please consider allowing your K through 4th grade student purchase a signed book. It is wonderful that our students can meet and learn from such a great role model and see that dreams can come true with hard work.
The 4th and 5th grade students will be going on their Outdoor Education trip next week. We are so excited for them! Parents, please be sure to read all of the information that Mrs. Trujillo has provided you with and be on time. All of the forms were due today so if you have not sent them in, today is the day.
The end of the 1st quarter is coming up quickly. Parent teacher conferences will be held on Thursday and Friday, November 1st and 2nd. There is early release on both days.
You will sign up for a 15 minute conference via a link to sign up Genius, links for each teacher will be provided via email and text.
If you need help, please visit or call the office and they will be happy to help sign you up. It is very important that all students are represented by a parent or guardian at these conferences. 1st quarter report cards will be distributed. Students may attend and participate in the conference.
Thank you for your support of the fundraiser for Isaiah. Between the Go Fund Me Account and our chapel offerings, we did meet our goal of $2,000 to help this family at this challenging time. I know that Isaiah's family greatly appreciates our support.
Our trunk or treat is coming up soon. Please keep up the donations of candy and trinkets for the class booths and sign up to help the teacher when they ask. Of course, service hours are provided for all donation.
Progress reports showing grades as of this moment will be emailed to 1st through 8th grade parents today. The quarter ends on October 25th so grades can still improve (or go down).
Exciting Upcoming Author Visit!!
Ray was a standout football player at Monsignor Edward Pace Catholic High School and also at the University of Central Florida and the University of Florida. He was drafted by the The New Orlean's Saints and played professional football.
Ray was also an outstanding student who learned how to balance athletics and academics. It is a good thing because an injury ended his football career. Ray went on to earned two Master's Degrees and is enjoying a successful career at the Memorial Healthcare system. In addition, Ray is now a published author of a new children's book that stresses the importance of balancing sports and academics.
I have attached a pre-order form to this document and additional copies are available in the office. K through 4th grade students will be enjoying his presentation. I really encourage you to order his book. It has a great message for our children and it is wonderful for them to have a book written by an author who they have actually met and who is a strong role model.
Parents, please be sure we have up to date contact information
Please don't let this be your child. Make sure that we always have someone that we can reach. We will not bother you at work unless it really is important but we must have access to a parent.
A big thank you from Isaiah and his family!
Isaiah's family asked me to express their gratitude to all of of you for your support. It is greatly appreciated.
