We Know Every Child by Name and by Need
February 15, 2019
Lakeview Leaders!
Woo Hoo! We made it through Valentine's Day parties:) On Monday, we will be in professional development. If you are not sure where to go, please let me know. Take advantage of this time with other teachers to celebrate all you have done and refocus for the rest of the year. Spring break will be here before we know it!
Be The One For Kids!
Be the One Who Shows Kids How to Have Fun
No matter the activity, we need to find the fun it. Educators are constantly looking for interesting, engaging, and fun ways to make the learning experience more enjoyable. Teachers, administrators, and other staff members should have smiles on their faces every day they're at school. We need to model fun for our students and show them we love being educators. Here are some ideas:
1. Don't be afraid to dress up
2. When you work with kids, know what kids like to do for fun
3. Read to a class
4. Recess (be involved or play a game)
5. Interact with students
6. Be active in the community
7. Play music
Things to Consider:
1. What do you do at school to have fun?
2. How do you show students that being an educator is fun?
3. How do you allow your students and the rest of your school community to have fun with you?
