Giovanni Battista Danti

A Flight Failure

The History of him

Geovanni Battista Danti lived in Southern Italy, about the time of Da Vinci. He was a mathamation of the 1400's. That means he did math as a job (Best job EVER!). He was not the first, and defently not the last to attempt this stunt.

What he did, and why it Failed.

First of all, what did he do? Well, he attempted to fly with man-made wings. So he pretty much glued feathers to his arms and, jumped off a building. It only failed, because of one small detail. You can't make working wings out of feathers!!!!! Strangely enough, he survived. His experiment only resulted in various violent crashes. His first attempt brought him fame, but then it failed.
