We recognize that this extended eLearning is difficult for our families who are blessed to be working in these difficult times. We do request your assistance - please monitor the Google Meets and itslearning communication. Students are getting on Google Meet links after the teachers leave, and this is not safe. Additionally, itslearning messaging is meant for academic conversations ONLY! This is not a chat room for students to talk with other students. It is to be used for questions or additional support from our staff.

We are awaiting word from the EBL Board as to the official update for our season. As soon as we receive this word, we will notify our student athletes and families. Should the season be canceled, we will issue refunds to our families who purchased season passes - once we receive the balance that we are required to pay for the games we did play. This balance includes referee costs and other fees. We know the amounts you paid would be very helpful in the upcoming holiday season, so we will be working diligently to get these refunds processed just as quickly as we can - once we have the official word from the EBL Board. Thank you for your patience!

Below you will find the BCSC Parent eLearning Handbook in English and Spanish. These are great resources to assist parents as we navigate the virtual instructional model. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at school if you have any questions or need clarification.

The Bears Cafe will be open for WiFi access for students to complete eLearning tasks. The cafeteria will be open from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. and 12 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. daily.

Students may NOT be dropped off for this. Parents or guardians must stay with and supervise their children while they are working in the cafeteria.

With the shift to remote learning, the eLearning Hotline will be available at 812-418-0252 for parents to call with issues or concerns. You may also email elearning@bcsc.k12.in.us if email is a better option to communicate.

BCSC does not have any more hotspots to pass out to families. With hundreds in student hands, the technology department has exhausted their resources. If you are still in need for WiFi access, please consider coming into the Bears Cafe. Please coordinate with Mrs. Gant or Mr. Shaffner if 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. and 12 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. do not work for your schedule.

Below are instructional videos and written instructions with how to use your child’s access itslearning, general eLearning information, and how to access Google Meet, the online video conferencing program used by teachers.

School breakfast & lunch may be picked up at any school site between the hours of 11:00 am -1:00 pm each school day.

Meals are free of charge for anyone under the age of 18 and will contain a breakfast and a lunch in each sack!

Meals will also be brought via school bus to the following locations between 11:00-1:00 each day:

· All BCSC schools (look for the school bus parked outside)

· BCSC Administration (corner of Cottage and 12th St.)

· Heritage Heights (Bus at the Clubhouse )

·Driftside (Bus at the Clubhouse)

Candlelight (clubhouse and intersection of Longshore Dr. and Rosewood Ln.)

· Shadow Creek Farms (clubhouse)

· Garden City Mobile Home Park
