Principal Chat - December 21, 2020
Last night, at the SRVUSD Board of Education meeting, the Board voted to approve staff's recommendation to postpone the January 5, 2021 start of in-person instruction until Contra Costa County moves back into the red tier.
Beginning on January 5, 2021, all SRVUSD students will remain remote (and follow the remote bell schedule), but will do so with their new class assignments so that as soon as it is safe to open to in-person instruction, we are prepared to make the change.

PTA
Being President of the PTA is a challenging role, but what makes it worth it for me is the community we live in. We may not all know each other, we may come from different backgrounds and hold different viewpoints, but we definitely support each other. The outpouring of support our community has shown the Myers family is a case in point. Our community has raised over $26,000 to support Alex and his battle with cancer, and the outpouring of support has been such a source of comfort for his family. Another case in point- the generous donations collected for the Warm Meal and Toy drive benefiting our sister school, Dover Elementary. Together we raised $1895 to provide 132 warm meals to struggling families and $350 for them to purchase toys via Walmart gift cards. Additionally, we collected over a car load of toys to deliver to needy families that will bring smiles to the faces of these less fortunate kids. So thank you Alamo School Community!!!! I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday break- enjoy your family and all we have to be thankful for.
Thank you,
Michelle Petersen, PTA President
