CHS Family News and Info
Week of May 13 from Mr. Schmeichel
IMPORTANT SCHEDULE for next week - ALL students' schedules will be different next week
Why does CHS have a unique schedule next week? This schedule is designed to set up students for success on their Math state test. Only juniors are taking the test.
Click Here for the week of May 20th testing schedule.
School Start Times Next Week:
Students that have a 1-6 schedule start school at 8:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Students that have a 1-6 schedule start school at 8:40 on Thursday and Friday.
E period students have the same start time (7 on M,Tu, Th, & F).
Students that don't have a 1st or 6th period will stay on campus when that period falls in the middle of a day.
Seniors, being PRESENT is important!
Seniors - your presence at school is valued and important. With only 180 days of school (175 not counting the week of graduation activities), being present to close out this chapter of your life is of value. You have plenty of time in the evenings, on the weekends and during senior week to celebrate the close of this chapter with your friends. CHS does not endorse senior skip day.
- Only 180 days of school - make each one count! (only 175 for seniors)
- Absences on a senior skip day may be audited to confirm reason of absence
- Unexcused absences will impact your grades
- Seniors have a whole week "off" of school during the week of graduation (that is a privilege that does not need to be honored - do not ruin it for future graduating classes)
- There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate socially between now and June 13
- Consequences for behavior (including attendance) can have a negative impact on Prom, Universal Studios, Senior Awards, etc.

Winding up athletics for this year and want to give a shout out to all the spring sports that have now finished their season – Great job, so proud of all you accomplished. This week, track, tennis and golf will be competing for individual titles, and baseball and softball will start their CIF runs.
