1) Hollis' Outlook on Life
In the beginning, Hollis is sad and lonely after running away from several foster homes. In the end, she is happy to be a part of the Regan family.

2) Hollis' Emotions
In the end Hollis is happy with the Regans, she fits in the family well. She does not feel that she is not wanted anymore.
"So there are five of us now: a mother, a father, a brother, and two sisters. A family." Pg. 166
3) Hollis' Actions
In the end Hollis took action to stay with Josie, and protect her. To do this, she ran to the Regans summer home. She took action, and successfully accomplished this.

4) Hollis' Relations
In the end Hollis had a relationship with Josie, she wanted to take care of her, so she ran with Josie to the Regans summer home.
"We'll go then" Pg. 82
5) Hollis' Decisions
In the end, Hollis knows the right thing to do if she wants to stay with Josie is to run to the Regans summer home.
"We can't wait anymore" Pg. 82
6) Caring Hollis
In the end, Hollis cares about Josie enough to run away to stay with her.
"I couldn't wait to get back to Josie" Pg. 64
7) Hollis and The Regans
In the end, Hollis knew she was better off with the Regans, she fit right in.
