The First Trial of Cyrus's Wits
There are Three More
Fear Fest
I think Fear Fest came out great! Everybody enjoyed the performance, but it wasn't so easy. We put a lot of work into it. We were working ferociously on Fear Fest since the very beginning on October 3rd until the scariest night of the year, Halloween. Dun dun dun! For the last week, my heart felt like it was going to pop out of my chest. I was worried that it wasn't going to work out because the timing was off and the actions weren't ready. We learned a lot. For instance, we learned about the Fear Ingredients. Worry, Make the audience care about the character so that when they're in trouble they are scared for them. Suspense, leave the audience on edge the whole time. Surprise, make twists in the story so that the audience doesn't know what's coming next, but not so the story doesn't make sense. Humor, make it funny. We also learned about the Six Traits of Writing. Ideas, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, and Conventions. Those traits are what I am using to intrigue you right now. That was my greatest accomplishment for this quarter.
Summer Presentation
My greatest challenge was my summer presentation. It had been over a week that it had been up on the board. I worked on one slide until Thursday. I had an incredibly hard time on Thursday. I was working on it until 9 o'clock. Then it took another hour to insert the pictures. We couldn't figure out how to shrink the pictures. I learned that I should definitely spread my work.
Next Quarter Goal
My goal is to have a good science fair project. I wnt this because I want to have people enjoy looking at my project and seeing the research. I also want to get a medal. That kinda sounds self centered........ but anyways! I will acomplish this by trying my best on it and working really hard.
