Illinois 5Essentials Survey

We invite you to provide your feedback to our schools by completing the 11th annual Illinois State Board of Education 5Essentials Survey. This survey is administered by UChicago Impact at the University of Chicago. Students, teachers and parents provide their opinions related to five indicators that can predict important student outcomes. The survey results are used by our principals to help guide their improvement efforts at the individual schools.


To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin.


State of the District Survey

The second survey will help guide our district’s development of its next 5 year strategic plan. During the coming months, a committee of Board Members, parents, teachers, and administrators will use the information you provide to set the future direction for our district. The survey is being conducted by Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, a third party firm that will be helping us formulate our new strategic plan.

It may be cold outside, but it's not too early to start planning our May 5th Color Run/Fun Fair Extravaganza! Join us at Olson at 6:00pm tomorrow (February 6th) or on Google Meet for a planning meeting. Not sure if you can commit to helping? Feel free to join in just to ask questions to determine if this is a good volunteer fit.


Our February monthly meeting will follow at 7:00pm. All are welcome!

Friday, February 10th: BINGO & Book Fair 6:00pm -7:30pm

BINGO Night is a free night run by the Olson PTO, Olson staff members, and the Mustang Leadership Team. The PTO will be selling spiritwear and Smencils! There are also fun prizes for our BINGO winners. We hope to pack the gym with BINGO fun! The Book Fair will be open too, so you can stock up on winter reads.


Thursday, April 13th: Family STEAM Night 6:00pm -7:30pm

The Discovery Museum will be leading Olson families through their "Whoosh" STEAM program. Join us for a night of science, technology, engineering, art, math, and FUN!


Friday, May 5th: Color Run & Fun Fair Extravaganza

You my have seen on D200 or Olson social media, as well as an upcoming story in the Woodstock Independent, but the Mustang Leadership Team is already hard at work asking local businesses to sponsor this fantastic event. If you own a business and would like to contribute a financial donation or a prize item to the Color Run/Fun Fair event, please email the Olson PTO at olsonpto@gmail.com.
