The Early Native Tribes
Their were three tribes in early times before the ones of the 1600's. they were the Amasazi, Adena, Hopewell, and the Mississippians. They were in some ways the same and some ways different.
Anasazi
They constructed dams, ditches, and canals to trap rain from lakes and rivers and they lead to gardens. Their houses were made of adobe and stone and they were multi-storied apartment like structures There most populated city was Pueblo Bonito where more than 1000 people lived.
other tribes
Hopewell
Hopewell:
they first settled in Ohio in 300 BC, they built mounds and some were 40 feet tall and 100 feet wide. Artifacts found suggest they had a extensive trade network. the Adena and Hopewell indians both are referred to as mound builders.
