Sussex Avenue News That You Can Use

Big picture

Dear Families,

I hope everyone had a great 1st week during the launch of Phase III. It was so nice to be able to see more students and interact with them. We all miss them terribly!

Below are a few gentle reminders:

  • If you have not done so already, please complete the Consent Form for Video/Audio Conference that was sent via Swift alert. This form is required for your child to participate in live sessions on Google Meet. If you have not completed the form, I have provided it here for your convenience.

  • Under no circumstances are Google Meet sessions to be recorded, screenshot, or otherwise shared by students or parents. Please ensure our teachers and students privacy rights are respected. Doing so is a violation of district policy.

  • Google Meet sessions and Google Classroom are not a means to discuss/communicate with your child's teacher regarding student specific issues and/or concerns. All parental questions/concerns are to be addressed in an email to your child's teacher.

  • If your child is working with a district issued chromebook, please remind them to handle them with care. We are seeing a demand in repairs and breakage. We are not able to keep up with the repairs. If you are in need of a chromebook we recommend purchasing online at Best Buy and Walmart.

I appreciate your understanding and adherence to these guidelines. Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the above items.

Stay Safe and Well,

Lorri Vaccaro

Principal
