Character Word of the Month: Courage
This month, our character word is Courage. Courage means being brave in the face of diversity. Last month, we discussed perseverance and continuing on when things get tough. Sometimes that takes a little bit of courage. As we draw near to an end of the school year, I am reminded of the courage it took some of our students to stand up to others and bullying. Our No Place for Hate committee did a wonderful job representing at our end of the year celebration at Huntsville High Freshman Academy. They had the courage to tell others we are not going to tolerate others being mean and saying things to others that could hurt them. I am so proud of our Safety Patrol group as well, for showing courage and being brave to make sure our students arrive to school and get home safely. I would like to thank everyone for their support and word of encouragement this school year. I can hardly believe we are at the end of the year. This year has flown by, and I am so thankful for everyone this year. We have had a ton of changes this year and the students have been so amazing this year. I can not wait to see how our students continue to grow in the upcoming years. I hope everyone has a safe and restful summer!
