Early Life
Annie Leibovitz was born on October 2, 1949 in Waterbury Connecticut. In high school she took a lot of interest in art and writing. She attended the San Francisco Art Institute where she studied photography. Her farther had them travel a lot, and from there she began taking pictures. Her first set of pictures were taken in the Philippines during the Vietnam war.
How She began
Annie Leibovitz began her career as a staff photographer working for Rolling Stone magazine. After a while of working she was named chief photographer of rolling stone, a job of which she worked for 10 years.

Mostly Known For
She began only using black and white color for her photographs. But later she began using color film. She is known for taking celebrity pictures. Most of her photographs are also portraits. Annie became quite famous for the pictures she would take for the magazines she worked for such as Rolling Stone, or Vanity Fair.
