SLS General Membership Meeting - Next Week

We have 30 people signed up for the General Membership meeting. We are very excited to see everyone on Tuesday, October 22nd at 8:30. We will begin promptly at 8:30 with some important announcements before delving into the fun of the day with Sora/OverDrive and the IFC. For those of you who are recycling your IFC binders, please bring the EMPTY binder with you on Tuesday. We ordered new binders only for those who indicated they needed one in the survey we sent out. Everyone should also bring a laptop or device other than a phone as you will need it for the activities of the day. Lunch will be served but if you have special dietary needs you may want to bring your own lunch. Please email Kerrie with any questions. See you on Tuesday!

Send us your displays-- we love showing you off!

Thank you, Nancy Pine, for sharing this sbooooky display! Read it if you dare!

School Library Department Leader Workshop Series

Are you the official, or unofficial, department head of the library program at your school? Are you looking to learn how to juggle it all while also trying to complete your duties as a full time librarian? Wondering how to unite the rest of the librarians in your district toward a common goal? Or are you just curious to see how others manage to do it all? No matter what challenges you may face, there is help. Join us for this four part series of workshops that will focus on program advocacy, budgeting on a district level, working with other librarians in the district, and more.

This will be a four meeting series held throughout the year. The first meeting will be held November 19th at Questar III beginning at Noon. All other dates and times will be determined by the group at the first meeting so as to meet everyone's scheduling needs. Due to the fact that this series is largely based on discussion, if fewer than five people sign up, the series will be cancelled.

Register by November 12th:
