1st
We have been reading books, doing activities, and having discussions about maps and cardinal directions. We learned about digraphs (sh, th, ch, ph) and are continuing to practice our sight words. Reading bags have all gone out, and we appreciate you taking the time to read with your child at home!
2nd
We are working on suffixes, prefixes and root words. We just finished two digit addition with regrouping and are now working on subtraction strategies.
3rd Grade
We are focusing on main idea, and key details when reading a passage. We started a new unit in math and are focusing on identifying and using addition properties. In social studies we are learning about the three branches of government. Science we are learning about fossils.
4th Grade
Fourth grade had a fun time learning more about Thanksgiving how it originated and when this day became an official holiday. We are continuing our units about Native Americans and Government. We are also starting to learn about the Spanish Explorers. We are on the countdown to Christmas Break!
