Mora Counseling Team

Don't you just love the changing weather? November is the time of year when we are reminded to be grateful for all that we have and let go of things that are not helping us, much like a tree lets go of its leaves to prepare for things ahead.

World Kindness Day

November 13th is WORLD KINDNESS DAY!!!

We invite everyone to participate in our kindness activities on Friday, November 12th.

A quote selected by our Anchored 4 Life Team Leader Kiara Smith, "No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted," can remind us to Sprinkle Kindness Everywhere!

Mindful Mornings with our Wellness Warriors!

Don't forget EVERY Wednesday from 7:15-7:45 am, students in grades 1-5 are invited to start their day with calm intentions. First 20 students are able to participate.

What do we do?

  • Mindful coloring, breathing, movement & story

  • Please be on time.
  • Eat breakfast before.
  • And remember this is not a time to socialize or play, it is a time to set the tone for our day.

SEL Strategy for Home

1-word Whip:

  • Start with 1 day a week
  • Have your family "whip around" with a 1-word intention. (Maybe on Sunday at dinner time set the intention for the week.)

"This week I will show up...focused."

Check-in with each other through out the week.

"Are your actions in lined with your intention?"
