The Weekly Roar

Notes from Nick Novak: Saturday June 4, 2016

to Gina Palermo for wrapping up an awesome testing season. Thanks as well to Brian Sackett and all of the staff who proctored, relocated their classrooms, and were flexible with assignments and instruction with students being in and out of class.

to Greg Bulger for all his support before and during the laptop replacement. Almost 200 laptops distributed last Thursday and boy do they look fancy!

to Dale Castro and the entire staff for making it smoothly through 16 safety drills this year including 10 evacuations and 6 specialty exercises. No more until August/September!

to Veronica Valentine and her crew for making the middle school visit a memorable experience for the class of 2020. 500+ future Lions came through the doors on Friday and were impressed by what the LEOs, JROTC, and performers had to show them. Nicely done!

Here are some helpful reminders for the upcoming week:

1) The last staff meeting of the year is Monday 6/6 at 2:20pm. We will meet in the main gym and will take a staff picture, so be sure to look good (maybe wear your Lions swag?)

2) Just in time for Finals week--it's the return of Lionstime. Yes, Lionstime is back now that testing is done and you'll have one last chance this year on Wednesday 6/8 for students to get help before final exams.

3) The AP Summit will be held on Thursday 6/9 and Friday 6/10. Jon Hollander sent out the schedule and info to be presented. Thanks in advance to everyone involved.

4) The PTSA Staff Appreciation week starts Monday. Treats and surprises to help make it through the week. Should be great!
