2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR HIGHLIGHTS
- 408 brand new novels, nonfiction titles, eBooks, and audiobooks were added to the library!
- The Ridley Educational Foundation funded implementation of the Pennsylvania Reader's Choice Award for the 2017-2018 school year! 131 students read from the list of 15 nominated titles and voted for their favorite in March. The 2018 winner is The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. Congratulations to Nicola Yoon and all of the students who participated in the program!
- Exploring Issues is a brand new digital resource available here at Ridley High School! It provides coverage and analysis of timely, controversial issues such as E-Cigarettes and Vaping, Mass Shootings, and Police Powers. Exploring Issues is an excellent tool to help student researchers understand today's complex issues.
- On Wednesday, January 31, Ridley High School students had an opportunity to Skype with Victoria Aveyard. She is the bestselling author of the Red Queen fantasy series, which concluded in May with a fourth and final installment, War Storm.
- This spring, our friends at Children’s Book World in Haverford delivered a Summer Reading Book Fair right to our readers! Required and recommended summer reading titles were on display and available for sale in the library, May 14 - June 8, at a 20% discount off the cover price.
- The Ridley High School Library Blog was viewed 842 times in 2017. Please subscribe to stay up to date on new books, author events, tech tips, and all the library news worth checking out!
