Milbank Elementary
Be Safe - Be Respectful - Be Responsible
Thank You Parents/Guardians
It is hard to believe the holiday season is here and winter break is just around the corner. The last day of the quarter is December 22, which is a full day for students. On behalf of the staff at Milbank Elementary, we want to thank you for your continued support during the 2020-2021 school year. We appreciate the support you have provided your child(ren) to continue learning at home, especially when quarantined and unable to attend school in person. Additionally, we appreciate the ongoing communication during these times. We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
A Job Well Done
Snow Day Choice Boards
With winter upon us and the potential for snow days in the future, I wanted to share about continued learning on these days. Milbank Elementary School will utilize flexible learning days in the event of a 3rd school closing/snow day and any subsequent snow days(2 snow days are built into the calendar). On these flexible learning days, students will be able to continue their learning without reporting to the school building. Classroom teachers will provide students with a “Choice Board" of activities. Paper copies will be available and distributed prior to a possible 3rd snow day. Copies will also be posted on the Milbank Elementary webpage.
Students and/or parents can contact their child's teacher via email or communication apps with any questions. Students can turn work into their teachers electronically or in person the next day. Due to the addition of flexible learning days, there will be NO additional school days added to the school calendar at the end of the year.
Lost and Found
Missing something? Several items have been turned into the lost and found throughout the year. Please have your child look in the lost and found or call the school and we'd be happy to take a look for items that haven't made it home.
