The Cavalier Contact
March 29, 2020 - Volume 1 - Issue 28
A Message from Mr. Just
To Cavalier Nation,
As we continue to adapt to this current situation, I will continue to send out weekly communication and the Cavalier Contact to provide updates and other information that I am able to for students and parents.
Even though the school building is closed for the rest of the school year we are moving forward to prepare your students for the next level.
Seniors will still have a graduation and prom for this year. We will communicate dates, times, and locations once they are available. A digital “Class of 2020” montage is being created and will be shared soon.
We are finishing phase 1 of Continuity of Instruction (COI) this week. For phase 1, students are responsible for submitting at least 3 activities for each course. We will provide more information about how to submit these activities to your teachers later this week.
Phase 2 of the COI plan will begin after spring break. Parents will be able to access the materials online at http://continuity.blogs.ccps.us/ or by picking up packets at CHS on April 1st and April 2nd from 8 am until 1 pm. Packets should only be picked up for students who do not have access to the internet at home. We will continue with the “curb side” pick up format. You may also pick up music instruments or medication during these times. All other items, such as books and PE attire, will not be available for pick up at this time. Phase 2 of COI will provide review activities for students for the weeks of April 14th and April 20th.
After phase 2 is completed we will communicate the expectations for phase 3.
Please visit the CCPS website by clicking here now to review COVID-19 Facts and other information.
