Pretty Woman
Dorsey Baker
Pretty woman looking
so good from head to toe,
Pretty woman looking
so good from head to toe,
Pretty woman you love
yourself
more than anyone can know
Pretty woman, aint no man
can ever handle you, Pretty
woman,
aint no man can ever
handle you
no matter
what they say or do
Pretty woman
I'm attracted to your
body and weak to your touch
Pretty woman
I'm attracted to your
body and weak to your touch
Pretty woman, I'm over powered
by you-you're just
Too much!
so good from head to toe,
Pretty woman looking
so good from head to toe,
Pretty woman you love
yourself
more than anyone can know
Pretty woman, aint no man
can ever handle you, Pretty
woman,
aint no man can ever
handle you
no matter
what they say or do
Pretty woman
I'm attracted to your
body and weak to your touch
Pretty woman
I'm attracted to your
body and weak to your touch
Pretty woman, I'm over powered
by you-you're just
Too much!
Madonna is really pretty and was adored by many.
Madonna - Drake
This song is about a woman Drake is enchanted by and he just doenst know what to do.
"Pretty woman i am over powered by you"
The speaker is like puddy in the pretty womans hands. She could make him do anythig she desires because she is the speakers weakness.
"Pretty woman ain't no man can ever handle you"
Like the woman in the picture, the pretty woman is adore by many and is hard to keep up. Not just anybody can be with her.
"Pretty woman you love yourself more than anyone can know"
The pretty woman knows her worth. She knows that men adore her and how beautiful she is. Just like the woman i the picture she wants to make sure she keeps that up.
Literal
The literal meaning of this poem is that this woman is astonishing and the one person who has her can hardly handle her just like other men.
Situation
The poem doesn't tell a story, but rather how the speaker percieves and feels about the pretty woman. The speaker is a man speaking to a woman he wants.I believe this because he describes how other men couldn't handle her, but he's close enough to her t be able to feel her touch. The tone is a mixture of admiration, lust, and a dash of obssesion. The mood is
Structure
There are 23 lines and 3 stanzas. It is free form because all though the poem does ryhme it doesnt have a specific structure. It starts off talking about how she loves herself, then how other men adore her, and then how he adores her. There are no real sentences or because there are no ending punctuations, but many commas for pauses.
Language
The word choices are very simple and straight foward. I interpertated the word "ain't" as being sassy and letting her know he means what he says.
Musical Devices
The rhyme scheme is very weird due to the lines with just oe word and how lines are repeated back to back.
