Lunch recess in the library

Dear Families,

We are settling into the school year quite nicely in the Lower School Library! Lunch recess continues to be a popular time for students to explore their many interests - check out the video above to catch a glimpse of what they've been doing!

While you are conferencing with classroom teachers tomorrow, I will be away at the North Carolina School Library Media Association's annual conference presenting with Jenni on our Librarians-in-Training project last year. In this project, Forest/Mountain students took control of the complete book selection process and purchased new books for our library. Read more about it on the AISL blog.

I also wanted to let you know that the library is here for you, too! If you haven't yet checked out our Parent Collection in the lobby of the main building, please do. This small collection of books is available for you and your family to check out, with resources on Quakerism, parenting, and more.

More news to come next month! In the meantime, be sure to follow the LS Library blog!

Your librarian,

Natalie
