Hampton Bays Middle School
Monday Memo #12
Meet December's Student of the Month: Tania
Dear T.E.A.M. :
Last week, I had the pleasure of presenting December's Student of the Month to the Board of Education. Sixth grader Tania is a a special kid who is going places. She has a bright middle school future, and she's sure to accomplish a great deal in the years to come.
You can read more about her in the following link, which is comprised of what I learned in my interview with her. Check it out here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1p3_yTbwFIwM3VwAwoboJZ61z6S2cVebT-TKiAZWlAdU/edit?usp=sharing .
Thanks also, to our teachers who helped us finish the week strong with a Veteran's Flag Ceremony on Friday morning and our Rising to the Challenge Ceremony to cap off the afternoon. Visit our school website or Twitter feed to see and read more about these great students and programs.
Also this week, we'll host our monthly Teacher Round table (Tuesday), we'll be recognizing our two local Patriot's Pen essay winners (Thursday evening), but first, a stop off for some spaghetti and famous Naclerio cannolis! We finish our week together on Friday with our SAMR Sandbox. Lots and LOTS of opportunities to show what it means to #engageHB and to show how #WeAreHB.
Hope to see you at some or all of these great events!
