From Mr. Martin
I am excited about this instructional activity: 7th Grade Social Studies are learning about culture! 7th graders have spent a week collaborating in groups to create what they believe to be an ideal culture! They have taken their learning of cultural elements and created a project detailing this newly created culture. On Monday, 7th graders will get to view presentations from the opposite 7th grade team, and 8th graders from Mr. Smith and Mrs. Dendy’s Social Studies classes will join to view the presentations as well! 8th graders will assess the 7th grade presentations and vote on which culture they would most like to be a part of!

FROM OUR COUNSELORS AND SOCIAL WORKER:
This october is bully awareness month. This year 7th and 8th along with 5th and 6th will compete to see how many students can be reported for giving an online or personal compliment. This will be a fun way for you to learn ways to report online bullying. Every few days Mr. Susnik will color in on a scale located in the lunch room to let classes know where they are currently ranked. Mr. Susnik and Mrs. Loring will explain more in detail through an in class guidance lesson.

FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL...
Student Behavior Expectations at GEHS Events: Gardner Edgerton High School is excited to invite PRMS, TRMS, and WMS students to all of the outstanding athletic competitions that the high school has to offer. However, it is expected that middle school students abide by the following expectations while attending events at the high school:
1. Students are expected to sit on the bleachers that have been designated for the middle school students. This year, during the football season, seating will be on the north west corner of the football field in the lower rows of bleachers. Failure to sit in the designated areas will result in students having to be seated with their parents or, if no parent is present, being removed from the game.
2. No students will be allowed to play on the grass or sidewalk around the stadium. If found in these areas, students will be asked to sit with their parents or, if no parent is present, you will be removed from the game.
3. School-appropriate behavior is expected from student attendees. Any student caught using foul language and/or participating in actions deemed inappropriate by any Gardner Edgerton district staff member will be removed from the game.
The Gardner Edgerton High School staff thanks all students in advance for their cooperation and compliance with their expectations presented in this letter. We look forward to having you at the games to cheer on the Blazers!

Kids are out of school on October 19, so bring them in for a fun day of activities!
GEHS Career and Technical Education Students have organized a full day of activities including poster making, crafts, sidewalk art, games such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, kickball, and MORE! The day starts with small group activities during participant check-in and concludes with a GEHS pep assembly! The GEHS Boys Basketball Team along with many other volunteers will be on hand to help our future Blazers play, learn, and create.
Registration includes a free admission for the participant to the October 19 GEHS football game and post game Light Show performed by the GEHS Marching Band immediately following the football game. Students can show off their game day poster and take in all things Friday Night Lights. What a night!
