Folsom Weekly Update
March 12-20
Message from Dr. Mazzoni
Thank you for your professionalism and hard work the past week in preparing for the chance that our school is closed for any prolonged period of time due to COVID-19. We will use Friday's afternoon PD schedule for participants NOT in the Right to Know Training or the Special Education meeting to continue the work in developing a plan for "home instruction".
April Faculty Meeting
The April faculty meeting is rescheduled to April 1st due to the demands of NJSLA testing around the corner. More details are below in the Curriculum section of the newsletter. Please plan on attending one of the two sessions (morning or afternoon).
Respectfully,
Matthew Mazzoni, Ed.D.
Superintendent

Preparing for the NJSLA-ELA/Math/Science
Staff Turn-Key Training Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2020. There will be 2 sessions offered: 7:45 AM or 3:30 PM. If you are testing, you must attend one of these sessions. An email will be sent to all staff administering the test either paper form or computer based.
Participating in the 60-minute Infrastructure Trial provides me with an early opportunity to verify the following required processes before operational testing begin. The link for the practice site is: https://trng-nj.pearsonaccessnext.com/customer/index.action
Your log in credentials are the same as the live site. This practice site mimics all of the same features (but on a brown platform) as the live site (on a blue platform).
Four teachers have reached out to set up a practice session. Please email me if you have any questions or would like to set up a practice session. The more you practice with your students, the more familiar they will be with utilizing the computer-based assessment platform.
The link below will give ELA/Math resources for districts and parents.

Notes from the Office
Nicole says "if weather is good we will go outside".
Musical instruments dropped off by parents will be delivered directly to the music room. Please advise your students to report to their band lessons as scheduled to check for the instrument.
