Elmwood Express

March 3, 2022

From the Principal's Desk...

Elmwood Families,

Spring is in the air here at Elmwood and we are loving it! The kids and teachers are excited about going outside to enjoy the warmer weather. The students enjoyed shopping this past week and we also had a Friday Raffle for all students!

March is going to be an exciting month as kids are really ramping up their learning and trimester 3 begins.

Report Cards:

These will go live tomorrow at 3pm. Please see the attached document on how to look at your report cards online or watch the video. The report card envelope will go home Monday with the report card. Please sign and return the envelope by Friday March 11th.

Mitigation Strategies:

As a reminder, we are still a mask recommended school so please continue to talk with your students about their choice or your choice to wear or not wear a mask. The students have been learning to be respectful of each person’s choice and we are so proud of each of them!

A few updates:

There is no school tomorrow, March 4th, 2022 for students!

Thank you to all the parents that completed the 5Essentials Survey - we truly appreciate the feedback and you still have till March 11th to complete the survey. See below for more information.

Thank you to all the parents that volunteered for the school store last week! It was a huge success and the kids loved it!

Be on the lookout for our next parent event!

If you have any questions or need anything please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mr. Lerner, lernerm@epcusd401.org or Mrs. Hagins haginss@epcusd401.org! We look forward to a wonderful week and weekend!

Sincerely,

SCOTY Winners

Congratulations to Klarita Kouria and Aiden Benitez. They were chosen as the School Citizens of the Year! Aiden's teachers describe Aiden as a student that takes responsibility for his learning and is a leader amongst his peers. He always strives to put forth his best effort on and off the soccer field. Aiden is polite and kind to all that cross his path.

Klarita's teachers describe her as a hard-working, enthusiastic, and engaged in her academic classes. She is a student who exceeds expectations with the quality of her work. Klarita takes the unprompted initiative to help her peers and leads them by her example.
