Hearne Elementary's Playbook
Week of May 20, 2019
We Made it To the Last Week of School!
We did it!! Through the ups and downs, we finally made it to the last week of school! This week will be fast and furious! Let's conquer it together with a positive attitude and lots of support!
You have worked so hard this school year! This week will culminate all your efforts. Remain encouraged, positive, and productive.
Thursday is an early release day! Students will begin dismissal at 2pm. We will leave the building once all Hearne buses are clear from transportation and all students have left the building.
Friday, May 24th is a staff PD day. We will meet at 9:30AM for our Staff End of the Year Ceremony.
Administrators will walk during the day on Thursday and Friday to check rooms and complete final checks. You can turn your keys into Mrs. Harvey beginning Thursday afternoon. We will have a schedule so everyone is not in the front office at the same time.
Let your team leader or supervisor know if you have any questions or if you need specific support. Remember not to move phones, furniture, or computers from classrooms.
Take a moment to vote for a staff member for our end of year superlatives below! Also, begin sending pictures of you and your team for our end of year slideshow to hearnestaffpictures@gmail.com or text them to 832-943-3978 (Mrs. Sanchez). We want to highlight everyone!
Never forget:
You make a difference!
You matter!
Our students need you!

Parent-Teacher Teams coming in 2019-2020!
Hearne will be piloting APTT for the 2019-2020 school year!
If you would like to pilot APTT in your classroom, please fill out the form below. There will be a training on July 16-17, 2019 here in Alief. The other schools piloting are Alexander Elementary and Heflin Elementary School.
Academic Parent-Teacher Teams (APTT) is a model of family engagement that is grounded in the notion that schools can thrive when families and teachers work together, as genuine partners, to maximize student learning inside and outside of school. The model is research-based and aligns grade-level learning concepts, student performance data, and family-teacher communication and collaboration.
You can watch a detailed video about APTTs here: https://vimeo.com/169255699
Input your daily attendance by 8:30AM each day!
