Kirk Fenton News
17th January 2020
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week I would like to congratulate some of our youngest children from Year 1 who attended their first sporting event at Sherburn High School. The children took part in a Sports Hall Athletics competition and represented our school and our values (respect, perseverance, forgiveness and thankfulness) beautifully. They worked really well together and had lots of fun.
School has been purposeful since returning and it has been a pleasure this week to see how hard everyone is working and the good progress being made in all classes. Each class has a page on our website where you can find their termly newsletter for the spring term giving you an overview of their learning for the term. Please take the time to have a look at these so that you can support your child at home.
I am assured of lovely weather this weekend, so make some time to enjoy the outdoors while we are able!

Volunteering
This year we will be holding informal meetings for people who would like to know what is happening within Friends, and also for those that would like to volunteer. As a committee that’s primary focus is the school, it is useful for us to have the opinions and feedback from the wider school community. The dates for these meetings are
Wednesday 12th February, 7.30pm, White Horse
Tuesday 17th March 9.30am, Venue to be confirmed.
We look forward to seeing you at either or both of these dates.
