Welcome back to school RMS Families!
Thank you for your patience as we work to get digital learning up and running. We want to support you from our building level team first as this is your home base.
If you are having any technology issues, please check with one of your child's teachers for individual support or you can use the new district technology troubleshooting help page:
https://www.reynolds.k12.or.us/district/technology-support
Two issues that many families are currently experiencing are apps not loading properly and students having trouble logging into Schoology. Try these two fixes below and see if that helps.
Apps not loading:
First try to update your device. Your device needs to be connected to WiFi and a power source when updating.
- Go to Settings
- Go to General
- Go to Software Update
- Update device
Not able to log in to your Schoology account:
When logging in to Schoology, please use this district link instead of the App for now: https://reynolds.schoology.com/login/ldap?destination=home&school=250765346
Login information: https://www.reynolds.k12.or.us/district/technology-support#schoology
If you are still having tech problems, please fill out an RMS Technology Support Form and someone from our tech team will contact you within 1-2 school days.

RMS Bell Schedules for Comprehensive Distance Learning
HOW TO GET STARTED WITH COMPREHENSIVE DISTANCE LEARNING (CDL)
1. Registration/Verification
If you are a new student, your parent or guardian must register you; and if you are a returning student, your parents/guardians must have completed the verification forms. There are links below to do this online. If assistance is needed, please call the school and speak to one of our helpful secretaries.
2. iPad
Make sure you have an iPad, which is how you will access your classes. Whether you are a 6th grade student, a new student, or a returning 7th or 8th grade student who needs a new iPad, you can come on September 21 or 22 (see information link below). You will need a parent or guardian over 18 to get your new iPad. Once you have an iPad, you can check out the videos in this newsletter that will give you information about the basics of using your device.
Click HERE for information on iPad distribution at RMS.
3. Schedules
Your classes are viewable in StudentVUE and ParentVUE. The daily bell schedule is above.

Your classes are all accessible in Schoology. If you do not know how to get into Schoology, watch the video below. Synchronous learning (in person classes with your teachers) will happen through the video conferencing feature of Microsoft Teams. Some teachers are piloting the use of Zoom Pro with their classes. Both are protected environments and safe for students. You will either get an email link to the conference from your teacher or find the link on their Schoology page. There is also a video about how to use Teams.
5. Foundation
Foundation is a class where we build community and learn about how to succeed in middle school. Your Foundation teacher is the one you will start your day with every day at 9:30. That teacher will also be the main contact for your parents/guardians if you need academic support.
6. Counselors and Administrators
You will find counselor and administrator pictures and email addresses below. Please note there is a counselor and administrator for each grade.
