November is upon us and you can definitely feel it in the weather. We are still trying to go outside as much as possible to ensure plenty of mask breaks in our day. Our plan through the winter is to have as few indoor recess days as possible, so please send your children dressed to go outside. Our cold weather policy will remain the same - indoor recess on days where it is colder than -30, and shortened recesses on days colder than -25. So if it is -25 or warmer, plan that your kids will go outside. And in the -26 to -29 range we will go outside for a shortened recess. We try to find good activities to do outside to keep moving and keep warm. Soccer is always a fun one, as well as different games on the play structure. This year Canadian Tire Steinbach has donated sleds for students to play on. We look forward to seeing kids pulling each other around in the snow this winter. A HUGE thank you to our PAC for making that happen. We know that physical activity is important to keep kids healthy, and we look forward to burning some energy outside together this winter!

Christmas Concert 2021
A Note from Hanover School Division Regarding Christmas Concerts: HSD schools may choose to hold virtual Christmas Concerts/Programs within the current public health orders. This year, due to COVID-19, these events are restricted to students only. In some instances, schools are sending a video recording of the event to parents/caregivers. When members of the public are invited to view these proceedings, they may forward the link to other family members/friends without requesting consent.
Stay tuned for more information on Elmdale School Christmas Performances coming in December.
