Gladiator Team News

Week of September 19- 23, 2016

Greetings Gladiator Families

Please take a moment to read the information below to find out what is taking place in Cougar Country and with our team.

Cougar News:

  • Carrington Middle School PTO Fundraiser Kickoff on Monday. Expect to see information packets Monday afternoon. Please consider supporting Carrington Middle School with this fundraiser.

  • Wednesday from 2:30-6:00 there will be help in the Media Center for PowerSchool setup. This is for both PARENTS and STUDENTS. Progress Reports go home on September 28. We do not want any surprises. However, there are many students who are not following up on classwork and homework.

Science News (Ms. Hall):

We have finished our study of seasons and almost finished talking about moon phases. Your child had a pop notebook quiz on Thursday to check if they are keeping their notebook organized. They were given five questions and were allowed to use their notebooks. The grades were returned today. Please remind them to continue their observation of the moon and to read over notes daily.

Math News (Ms. Bridges):

This week we will continue characterization discussing different types of characters and character traits. We will also take notes on conflict (internal and external). Students will apply what they’ve learned about characterization and conflict to different texts read in class.
