Huge thanks to Thomasgard Drilling

We want to extend a huge thank you to Thomasgard Drilling for donating a lift of lumber to our PAA program. Lumber is a major expense for our program and Thomasgard Drilling' donation will go a long way in allowing us to further enhance the program for our students. We are very lucky to have support like this from our community, it helps is create an amazing learning environment for our students.

Shout Out to Some PPCS Bears

The Learn to Skate program would like to send a huge shout out to Kalli S, Cadence L, and Amia K. These three girls have been volunteering their time all winter to help young skaters learn the basic skills of skating and more importantly develop a love of skating, a love that they all share. The program would not run as efficiently or be as fun without their help. Thank you for giving up your time, helping your community and being amazing role models.

Community Initiatives Fund

Once again this year, the Community Initiatives Fund has provided our girls group with a $1000 grant for operations. This grant makes this program possible and is greatly appreciated.

Fersters Fruit Sale

We will once again be partnering with Ferster's Market to bring a citrus fruit sale. It will be similar to the apple fundraiser, only it will involve grapefruits and oranges. The fundraiser will open Feb 24 and close March 6. Once again, we would love it if every student could try and sell 2 cases. All proceeds will go to support extracurricular travel, specifically to pay the lease and mileage for our 15 passenger van.

Chrissy R Fitness at PPCS

PPCS is very proud to partner with Chrissy Rickards and her fitness classes. Chrissy will be using our space to hold her fitness classes and in exchange has agreed to occasionally share her knowledge and talents with our students through PE and class presentations. We are excited about this partnership, stay tuned for more details.

Info You Will Need

Parking Loop Reminder

Reminder that we close our parking loop from 8:30 until 9:00, at recess and noon hour and from 2:00-3:30. This is to ensure the safety of our students when they are on the playground. We have had several people moving our pylons and driving in or coming in through the exit. This has the potential to put the safety of our students at risk as they are not expecting drivers at this time. We ask that you please use our larger parking lot for pick up and drop off at these times. Thank you for your cooperation.

Kidsport

The Porcupine Plain Kidsport committee is looking for 3-4 new committee members. Please contact Tracy Slobodian or Leslie Mielke for more information.
