Semaine 2 de l'école virtuelle
WE. DID. IT. !!!!!
Whew! Week one in the books! Thank you so much for your patience with everything last week! I had some posting issues in your textbook websites and on Powerschool, we had limited access to Powerschool, I was very sick at the beginning of the week (as was my whole family)!! There was a lot going on but working together, communicating with one another--- we still made it a SUCCESS! I credit you, your attention to detail, your flexibility, your genuine AWESOMENESS! Vous êtes impeccables! Merci!
Assignment Due Dates and Late Work
Be mindful that your work is due each day at 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar for a different date. Teachers have been asked to contact parents when work is not submitted on time. I understand that we all sometimes might have issues with internet connections or with Powerschool connectivity. If you experience problems, you should email your teachers as soon as possible. Barring technical difficulties, there will be a late penalty of one letter grade per day for late submissions in my class. For the most part, you all have done an amazing job turning your work in every day! Thank you SO, SO much for being awesome!
This Week's Office Hours
Please check in at least twice per week during office hours. Simply pop in, say hi, ask a question or say you don't have one. I just need to see your smiling face twice! :)
Synchronous Sessions This Week
What is a Synchronous Session? It is a lesson taught live in our Zoom classroom. When I hold these for your class, it is expected you will attend. I understand sometimes you might have a conflict, so you will need to email me and let me know if you are unable to come. Here are the ones for this week:
Monday......2 pm --- 3EP/4CP
Tuesday.....2 pm ---- 2HP
Feedback
I am grading your work the day after you submit it, so be sure to check back at the location to which it was submitted to see the grade and, when possible, my feedback notes about your work. If I see that you are struggling on something in particular, I'll send you some additional information and links to help you out. Also, be sure to ask if you have questions about a grade or my feeback. I want to be as helpful as possible.
Coup de Folie Quotidien
This week marks the beginning of "Coup de Folie Quotidien"! Get ready to earn some participation points by taking and posting photos to fill in our "Daily Moment of Madness" shared Google Slide for each class period! Every day, I'll have a theme in French for you to photograph and share your image with our class. (Be careful- everyone has editing rights to this doc. Be mindful not to erase anything accidentally.) Today, we kick off the celebration with "nos animaux de compagnie". Check it out HERE!
Google Classroom
- Last week's difficulty access Powerschool had everyone pulling their hair out: it was tedious for teachers to update courses and to grade work, while it was exasperating for students to access the lessons posted to the calendar and to submit. You powered through and basically most all work was turned in despite PS going down. Unbelievable! Thank you so much for your efforts on this!
- I am hoping to avoid such annoyance this week. As you know, students, I emailed you a link to the Google doc where I am keeping the lesson plans in the event that you can't access Powerschool. But what if you need to submit something? Just in case we have more trouble access Powerschool, I've created Google Classrooms for each course. If/When you need to access them, I will give you specific directions via email and in the lesson document as for what to do.
- If we continue with remote learning for more of the semester, we may make a complete transition over to Google Classroom. Again, I will let you know and provide a video to show you around. :)
I know this song isn't French, but I think its message is so important right now! Enjoy!
