Can you sew?
Silver Elite will compete in their first competition of the year in two weeks! We are so excited to show off their work and talents, but the costumes....well we need some help. We need pants hemmed, a couple jackets altered, belts attached to dresses, and about 1,000 rhinestones glued on sleeves. If you are willing and able to offer your sewing skills to show choir, please email Ms. Lafferty at laurenlafferty@misdmail.org .
Show Choir Merch
Silver Elite's 2023-2024 show merch store is closing today! Get your orders in by tonight to show support for Silver Elite! To order the sweatpants you will need to look above the picture of the item and click "design 2" Here is the link and you can also find this on our website homepage at legacychoirs.weebly.com
This is optional and not a fundraiser. Prices are at cost.
Mamma Mia
Shout out to the Legacy Theatre program and all the choir students involved in Mamma Mia! If you missed it last weekend, you still have time! Come see Mamma Mia this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday!
Cowtown
On February 3rd, Silver Elite will premier their competition show "Alice". We perform at 3PM, so come to IM Terrell in Fort Worth and get there early to enjoy other show choirs! If you have never been to a show choir competition before, there is a charge for admission but it is an incredible show of schools from all over the state of Texas. If you can't make it to this competition, Legacy Choirs hosts the North Texas Show Choir Invitational, (NTSCI), on February 15th at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing arts. More information on that competition will be in the next newsletter.
UIL
Our 5 concert choirs are all in preparation for UIL Concert and Sight Reading. All 5 groups received sweepstakes last year, meaning every judge in concert and sight reading gave us the highest rating possible.
Meet the Officers
Terris Williams, Tenor Bass Class Representative
Hey i’m Terris or Tae. I’m the tenor bass class representative. To see myself in this spot is great and I want to see my class do their very best in what they’re doing. A little bit about me, I’m a senior now so I would like to make it the best year. I also love music, to the point where I do it in my free time, I like cooking making things to eat, playing the game which is very frequent, but other than that, I sleep. To see everyone in choir singing is the best and I can’t wait to work with everyone.
